What is North Texas Adventures (NTA)?

We are North Texas' most active and fastest growing social and outdoor activity club.  We offer you a packed event calendar from which you can pick and choose the events of your liking.  This is great for meeting other active folks who enjoy more of what North Texas has to offer while in the company of other people with similar interests. If you're new in town, or you just want to get more out of life in Dallas, Fort Worth and around North Texas, NTA allows you to have fun and meet new people in a relaxed, no-pressure environment!

Is my member data secure?

We understand the need for privacy.  NTA will never divulge information about its members to anyone. Your member profile gives you the option to display your personal information to other members of the club only if you choose to do so.

What do my dues cover?

Your dues help to cover the administrative costs of planning and executing the events on the NTA Events Calendar. We strive to host at least one event every day so that you'll always have a lot of diverse events from which to choose.  We do the planning and organizing, and even get you exclusive discounts for NTA. You just show up and have fun!

NTA dues also get you access to the interactive website featuring the NTA Events Calendar. Only members have the ability to see the full details of every event including times, places, maps, directions and contact information.  Members can RSVP for events on the NTA site, as well.  Most events are for members and up to two guest per member.

How much is membership for my spouse or significant other, and kids? 

Your membership dues include your spouse or significant other who lives at the same address. Kids under 18 can also be included. If you're already a member and would like to add family members to NTA, please email your request to administrator@northtexasadventures.net.

Are there free events?

Most events are free to participate, and we always strive to get group discounts for our members. Some events may require the purchase of tickets, food, beverages, etc.  Each event listing will clearly state costs, if any, or what they are anticipated to be.

How do I sign up for an event?

From the Monthly Calendar, just click on the event you'd like to attend and the Event page will open. Select Member Registration on the top navigation bar to RSVP for the event.  Once you've submitted your RSVP, you're all set to show up for the event! 

It is important that you RSVP for an event, as this allows the leader to know to look for you and have a head count for any table reservations, tickets, etc.

Can I bring a guest to an NTA event?

Usually, members are welcome to invite up to two guests at NTA events. The description of each event will tell you whether events are open to guests, and if so, how many. 

In the interest of fairness to our members, where space is limited, members will take priority over guests.  Please remember, members bringing guests to an NTA event are responsible for that guest's behavior and any damage that they may cause.

Can I bring my kids or pets to an event?

That depends on the event. While many events are both kid and pet friendly, some are not. For those that are, it will be noted in the event description. With both children and pets, we ask that you be respectful of others and be mindful that not everyone may feel comfortable around them.

What if I'm unable to attend an event for which I've RSVP'd?  

All you need to do is sign on and select My Events in the left navigation bar.  You'll see a green dot next to all the events for which you've RSVP'd.  Just select "Withdraw" to remove your name from the event you're unable to attend.  

The Event Leaders greatly appreciate having the correct headcount!  We thank you in advance.

Can I get a refund if I cancel for a pre-paid event?

Unless otherwise stated in the Event Payment Details, refunds may be obtained provided that cancellations are received at least 72 hours prior to the Event.  However, refunds for events are not guaranteed. Refunds depend upon the policies of third-party vendors and other factors.  By registering for an event, you understand that you may not receive a full refund should you need to withdraw.  All cancellation and refund requests should be emailed to administrator@northtexasadventures.net.

Who are the Event Leaders?

NTA Event Leaders are experienced members who post and lead their own events and activities.  Event leaders are not paid or employed by NTA; they volunteer their time in exchange for free or reduced membership in NTA.

Event Leaders are:

• Friendly, courteous and respectful to all event attendees.
• Responsive and responsible!
• Like to have fun and meet new people!
• May also be selected to help new members feel welcomed.

How do I cancel my membership?

To cancel your monthly membership, email your request to administrator@northtexasadventures.net at least 5 days before your next monthly renewal date. Once payment has been received, they are non-refundable.
